We are excited to welcome Aaron Luckett as Social Model Recovery Systems’ Project Coordinator for the ReFresh Spot! Aaron was born and raised in Los Angeles, growing up in the Aliso Village neighborhood of East LA. He attended Dolores Mission Catholic School before continuing his education at Manual Arts High School. He later earned his bachelor’s degree in social science from Cal State Dominguez Hills. Aaron has dedicated much of his career to serving the Skid Row community. He began working at Skid Row Housing Trust in 2015, where he quickly advanced to Director of Security and Evening Operations. In this role, he oversaw operations for 29 properties and managed a team of 60 security officers and employees. With 14 years of IT experience and 30 years in security, Aaron implemented structural improvements and processes to enhance safety and efficiency for both staff and residents. His expertise in crisis management, emergency response, and conflict resolution makes him a valuable addition to our team.

As a co-operator of the Skid Row Community ReFresh Spot, Social Model Recovery Systems, through Aaron’s leadership, will help ensure that this vital resource—often called an “oasis in Skid Row”—continues providing community members with access to showers, restrooms, laundry, drinking water, phone charging, WiFi, and other critical resources. More than just a service hub, the ReFresh Spot is a place where people can meet their basic needs with dignity.

Beyond his professional work, Aaron finds joy in spending time with his wife, daughter, and new granddaughter. His deep-rooted commitment to Skid Row and passion for supporting underserved communities align perfectly with SMRS’ mission.

Please join us in welcoming Aaron to the team!
