We’re excited to share that Nadine Tobler has been promoted to Program Manager of Stepping Stones, one of SMRS’ programs dedicated to helping women in recovery.

For Nadine, this work is more than just a job; it’s a calling shaped by her own journey. “I was a chronic relapser,” she says honestly. “This line of work was what made sense in my life. It gave me purpose.”

Nadine’s time with SMRS has taken her to several programs, each leaving its mark on her. She spent time at Omni Center, where she worked with men in recovery, but Stepping Stones has always held a special place in her heart.

“I love both places,” Nadine shares. “Stepping Stones was in my heart, but I also enjoyed working at Omni with the men. Both places are magical.”

As she begins this new chapter, Nadine’s focus is simple: “My top priority is to support our amazing team and serve our population.” She plans to do this by staying connected, checking in, listening, and being present.

She’s also excited to bring in new ideas, like making sure cultural awareness is part of daily life, whether through activities or even meals.

When challenges come, Nadine finds motivation in the victories she’s witnessed. “I focus on the positive outcomes that I have seen,” she says. “Watching people grow and rebuild their lives, that’s what keeps me going.”

Nadine’s heart, dedication, and lived experience continue to inspire everyone around her. Her promotion is a celebration of the hope and healing that Stepping Stones brings to so many.
