On Sunday, August 10, 2025, Mid Valley Outpatient hosted an exciting team-building event at Topgolf, bringing staff together for an afternoon of fun, connection, and collaboration. Organized by Program Director Gerardo “Gerry” Barraza, the outing was designed to strengthen relationships and promote a positive workplace culture, both essential for delivering exceptional substance use disorder treatment services.
The activity featured team members from across the program, including Lacey Andel (Administrative Assistant), Sally Hernandez (Admissions Counselor), Cynthia Lujan (Primary Counselor), Arnulfo “Arnie” Gonzalez (Primary Counselor), Shawny Truong (Primary Counselor), Naomi Kading-Byers (Primary Counselor), and Daniel Gomez, the newest member of the team.
Staff enjoyed friendly competition in games like The Fantastic Four, Sonic, and Angry Birds, along with great food and conversation. This shared experience helped strengthen communication, trust, and team cohesion, qualities that directly impact the quality of care provided to participants.
Mid Valley Outpatient is committed to fostering staff development and maintaining a supportive workplace environment, ensuring every team member feels connected and motivated.
