Long Beach Pride Festival: “The Rhythm of the Rainbow”
The 41st annual Long Beach Pride Festival, held on May 18th and 19th, 2024, was a vibrant celebration under the theme “The Rhythm of the Rainbow.” Headlined by IVY Queen, the Queen of Reggaeton, the festival offered an electrifying musical experience. Beyond the music, the event championed diversity, inclusion, and the universal language of music.
Since 1984, Long Beach Pride™ has organized California’s third-largest Pride festival and parade, dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and educating the public on the importance of diversity and acceptance.
WeHo Pride 2024: A Month-Long Celebration
WeHo Pride 2024 began with a special event on Harvey Milk Day, May 22, setting the stage for a month of festivities. The highlight was the WeHo Pride Weekend from May 31 to June 2, packed with diverse and exciting events.
The WeHo Pride Street Fair, where Royal Palms participated, was a vibrant highlight of the weekend’s celebrations. The fair featured a variety of booths, food vendors, live performances, and interactive activities, fostering a lively and inclusive atmosphere for all attendees.
SMRS’ involvement in events like the Long Beach Pride Festival and WeHo Pride Weekend shows our dedication to building a stronger, healthier society through pride and inclusivity.
Royal Palms’ staff set up a resource booth and actively engaged with visitors while sharing valuable information about our treatment programs and services. These interactions provided a platform to connect with the community, offering support and resources while celebrating the vibrant culture and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community.
