Currently, Rona is diligently working towards completing her Chemical Dependency certification from Los Angeles Southwest College, a pursuit that will significantly enhance her ability to support individuals on their path to recovery. Her dedication and determination were further recognized when she was awarded a prestigious scholarship through CalMHSA, enabling her to obtain the Peer Support Specialist certification, and solidifying her capacity to provide invaluable assistance to those in need.
Throughout her tenure at Social Model Recovery Systems, Rona’s professional trajectory has been nothing short of remarkable. She started as a Group Facilitator and quickly advanced to become a Primary Counselor and then an Admissions Counselor. Her dedication and passion for the organization’s mission were evident from the start.
Rona’s most recent promotion to Education and Training Department Coordinator is a testament to her commitment to excellence. Her invaluable expertise and skills are now contributing to the organization’s vital mission of education and training.
Rona’s dedication to professional development is unwavering. She has set ambitious goals for herself, aiming to transfer to Cal State Los Angeles to obtain her bachelor’s degree in social work. This pursuit will equip her with a comprehensive understanding of the field and further enhance her ability to make a meaningful impact.
With a long-term vision in mind, Rona plans to pursue her master’s degree, solidifying her knowledge and expertise in her chosen field and continuing her journey of personal and professional growth.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Rona maintains a rich and diverse range of interests. She is an avid true crime enthusiast, drawn to the intricacies of criminal investigations. Additionally, she is a dedicated fan of the legendary band Metallica, having attended over 10 of their electrifying concerts. Currently, she is channeling her passion for storytelling and knowledge-sharing by working on the development of a podcast, exemplifying her dedication to engaging and educating others.
