In an effort to foster connection and collaboration, Program Director Joanna Gomez recently led a team-building event for the staff at Pasadena Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (PCADD). The outing took place in Long Beach and featured a dolphin and whale watching excursion designed to give staff a chance to relax, recharge, and strengthen their working relationships outside of the traditional office setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the group did not encounter any whales during the trip, they were treated to an unforgettable experience as groups of dolphins appeared, swimming alongside the boat and captivating everyone on board. The opportunity to witness these creatures in their natural habitat brought a sense of wonder and enjoyment to the day, helping to cultivate a deeper sense of camaraderie among team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than just a break from routine, the excursion served as a reminder of the value of shared experiences in building a cohesive, motivated team. In the field of behavioral health, where staff are often called upon to provide high levels of care and emotional support, these moments of connection are essential.
