In Covina, CA, we offer two outpatient programs designed to support people with co-occurring disorders (both substance use and mental health challenges): River Community Covina<\/a> <\/strong>and River Community Wellness Center<\/a><\/strong>. River Community Covina<\/strong><\/mark>
For those who need a highly structured environment, River Community Covina<\/em> offers day treatment services six days a week. This program helps participants create healthy routines, build coping skills, and receive therapy in a supportive setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recovery isn\u2019t just about stopping substance use\u2014it\u2019s about building a life you love. At River Community Wellness Center<\/em>, we focus on helping individuals gain independence and confidence in their journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, we help participants:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2714 Set personal goals and create a wellness plan tailored to their future.
\u2714 Learn practical life skills like budgeting, time management, and housing stability.
\u2714 Manage mental health symptoms and recognize triggers before they become setbacks.
\u2714 Engage in community outings to rebuild social connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our approach encourages self-empowerment, so participants can transition from being “clients” in a treatment program to thriving, independent members of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medication Support & Mental Health Care<\/mark><\/strong>
Medication support is provided by a psychiatrist, licensed vocational nurse (LVN), and psychiatric technician (PT). The psychiatrist manages medication treatment and education, while the LVN and PT offer support, schedule appointments, and run a support group. They also help with concerns and communicate with the psychiatrist as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evidence-Based Care & Spanish-Speaking Staff<\/mark><\/strong>
We use evidence-based treatments to make sure everyone gets the best care possible. Our trained staff offers:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2714 Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)<\/strong> \u2013 A therapy that helps process trauma.
\u2714 Seeking Safety<\/strong> \u2013 A proven approach for PTSD and addiction recovery.
\u2714 Recovery Incentive Contingency Management (RICM) <\/strong>\u2013 The primary focus of the Recovery Incentive Contingency Management Treatment Program is to support the participants in abstaining from stimulants. CM is one of the only evidence- based behavioral interventions shown to be effective in treating stimulant use disorder. Contingency management provides incentives for meeting treatment goals, and rewarding individuals for changing their behavior.
