Social Model Recovery Systems (SMRS) was awarded as the Agency of the Year by the University of Southern California (USC) Suzanne Dworek- Peck School of Social Work at their Practicum Instructor Appreciation Luncheon. <\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each year, the Practicum Faculty <\/em>at USC<\/em> select an agency that they agree has been outstanding in their collaboration with the school in the education of social work students. Of the hundreds of organizations that USC<\/em> is contracted with as practicum sites across the US, we are truly privileged to receive this prestigious award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SMRS<\/em> was nominated by several faculty including Dr. Suh Chen Hsiao, Christina Paddock, and Omar Lopez<\/em><\/strong>. In addition to providing students with a great practicum experience at our treatment programs, SMRS<\/em> collaborated with USC <\/em>on several grants and initiatives such as the Mentored Internship Program, RecoverUSC<\/em>, and a seminar for the Taiwanese Children and Families Fund<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are proud of the dedication by our Director of Innovation, program directors, staff, clinical supervisors, and mentors <\/em>who have worked closely with the Social Work practicum students.<\/em> We are also grateful to our executive leadership for supporting us in our collaborations with USC <\/em>and other educational institutions. It is an honor to be a part of each student\u2019s professional journey while contributing to the future of social work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
