Residents of our community-based housing experienced a truly heartwarming Christmas celebration led by the dedicated Community-Based Housing and Alumni Program Director Brandon James, held on December 20 at Amestone Hall at Omni Center.<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The event was filled with laughter and joy. One of the highlights of the event was the distribution of gifts <\/em>that brought joy to every corner of the room. Brandon and his team ensured that each resident and their children received a token of holiday spirit, making the Christmas party a memorable experience for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding a dash of excitement, the Christmas raffles<\/em> turned the celebration into a suspenseful affair. Residents eagerly anticipated their numbers being called, creating an atmosphere of cheerful anticipation that resonated throughout the event hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the festivities weren’t limited to just surprises and giveaways. Brandon took charge of the cooking and treated everyone to a mouthwatering feast. Ribs, baked beans, homemade potato salad, buttery soft dinner rolls, apple and pecan pies, fresh green salad,  and sausages sizzled to perfection, complemented by the delightful aroma of fried and barbecue chicken, and the flavorful carne asada tacos cooked by our maintenance team led by Eddie Sarinana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the festivities didn’t stop there! Project Coordinator Charles Porter<\/strong> of United Coalition East Prevention Project<\/em> offered a cultural awareness talk, adding a layer of enrichment to the celebration. In addition, the event took a musical turn with karaoke, and to everyone’s delight, Brandon<\/em> took the stage. With a twinkle in his eye, he serenaded the crowd with a rendition of “Santa Baby,”<\/em> adding a touch of humor and charm to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not to be outdone, Pasadena Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (PCADD) Program Director Daniel Lugo<\/strong><\/em> graced the celebration with a piano performance, adding a touch of elegance to the festivities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the delicious spread, lively activities, cultural talk, and musical interludes, what made the celebration truly special was the sense of community cultivated by Brandon and his team. Staff, residents, and their families shared laughter, stories, and, most importantly, the joy of togetherness. The Christmas party wasn’t just an event; it was a testament to the strength of community bonds and the positive impact we have on the lives of those we serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
