The River Community staff, under the inspirational leadership of Program Director Sarah Tostado<\/strong>, united in strength and compassion to participate in the annual Run4Recovery fundraiser hosted by Aurora Charter Oak Hospital.<\/em><\/h3>

The heartwarming event, which is a testament to the power of community and the importance of mental health, brought together individuals from all walks of life to run, walk, and fundraise for a cause close to our hearts.<\/p>\n

The 16th-year\u00a0Run4Recovery fundraiser, held on October 14, has become a cherished tradition in our community. It is not only a fundraising event, but also a powerful platform for spreading awareness about mental health and recovery, shedding light on the struggles individuals face daily.<\/p>\n

Sarah, who has been steering the ship at River Community<\/em><\/strong> with unwavering dedication, saw this event as an opportunity to show their support for those battling mental health issues. “We believe in the power of community to create positive change<\/em>,” she shared. “The Run4Recovery is a perfect example of how we can come together to support one another. I have been participating for 9 years now.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Run4Recovery, founded by Robin McGeough<\/strong>, honored the facilities and hospitals that help the most vulnerable individuals recovering from alcohol and drug addictions.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme is \u201cRide to Save Lives\u201d<\/strong>. The participants rode 800 miles from Reno, Nevada to Covina, California as a way to raise awareness and save lives.<\/p>\n

Sarah expressed her gratitude for the dedication of her team and the broader community, saying, “The annual Run4Recovery event is a beautiful reminder that we can make a difference in the lives of those struggling with addiction and mental health issues. We are proud to be part of this initiative, and we will continue to stand together for a more compassionate and supportive community.”<\/em><\/p>\n
